Native Giant Water Beetles/Water Scorpions In UT?

Does anyone know were I can find some information or data on the species on were they live in utah? I remember my cousin bringing a couple of big water beetles and a waterscorp home from the bear river from newton dam up near logan, the water scorp was faster then my fingers XD. Anyways... I tried google,dogpile and msn but no luck. Could someone please help me?

Did it hurt getting stung by a P. boreus? Ive been thinking about letting mine give my finger a sting just for the smack of it. How long is the "gestation" period for this species?
