I decided to give a chance to a Polish tarantula forum. I checked out the FAQ, what a great list of hobby myths (that are listed as good practices):
- Enclosures need additional heating, red light bulb is the best for it.
- ICU.
- You can use wild-caught feeders.
- Slings need feeding every other day, juvies every 3-4 days, adults once a week.
- You should use a hygrometer if there is enough space in the enclosure.
- Avicularia, Pterinochilus, and Poecilotheria can be kept communally, at least they warn that cannibalism may sometimes happen in this kind of setup.

All in all, I decided against giving this forum a chance.

Not sure if someone mentioned this one or not. This is one I've seen often out there.

'Tarantulas can drown in their water dish'

That one goes hand-in-hand with the 'sponge in water dish'
