Well for all of you following, They gave him to me for $30 today so I went ahead and picked him up. Hes in temp housing my wife and I call the 'trailer park' until the acrylic case arrives and I modify it but for now he looks ALOT more satisfied. I'm leaning towards labelling him a hysterocrates gigas, store had him labeled as a Stromatopelma calceatum :eyerolls:

Definitely looks like an h gigas. Give it deep sub and see if it goes down.

If that were a cacleatum he would already be out of the enclosure, on the floor, and 3 rooms away before you could take that photo.

Plus, calceatum are dainty. that T is not dainty.

I know right? Lol. Ritter he loves to burrow even in the 1 inch they had him on in the store so he's getting 5 inches of 50/50 Reptisoil/jungle mix when his show cage arrives. :D
