My white knee sling molted last nite,:D Last nite I put a cricket in there with him and it was as if he went crazy. He was like shaking and my dad and I thought kinda nothing of it. But this morning when I woke up there was this skin of a molt in there, do you think that cricket stressed him out last nite that's why he was going crazy ??

Anyways he is ok and I see a half a leg forming from where he lost the other one, maybe next molt he'll have a full leg, he's bout 3/4 of an inch now maybe an inch, around that size.

yeah your right you shd take the cricket out before it moults as that stresses the t out and sometimes their moult dont complete properly because of that..that only happens when the cricket decide to chew on the t..

Most definitely. If the t doesn't grab the cricket right away and acts like it's annoyed by the cricket, then take the cricket out or the cricket may dine on the t.

Had you tried putting in any crickets in the last week or so? I would think that the T would have shown you some signs of a coming molt before the night before.

I'm sure the T was irritated by the cricket that close to a molt, but you didn't know. Oh well, you live and you learn.

it wouldn't necesarrily be showing signs of an upcoming molt when it's that small, i've had a few diff't slings eat the day they molted... and a few of mine, if i don't leave the cricket in there for more than a minute, the T will never eat, so.... not quite sure where I was going with this, but probly had a point...

anyways, congrats on the molt.

The last time my G. pulchra molted, I wasn't expecting another molt so soon. I dropped in a cricket, and the couple times the cricket got close to her, she immediately kicked it out of her hide, and I got the hint and took it out. She molted the very next day.
