hey, I was wondering why my spiderlings have this black round spot on their abdomen and their body is still white color.. so is that their yolk sack?

The black patch is their tiny arsenal of urticating hairs.

Ugly duckling is right. But in its own little way it is still quite cute. And someday it will be gorgeous

Gail, she may not have her pretty colors yet (like mine) but she still is pretty ! :) And cute !

Wait a year and then see what it looks like! I bought my smithi's just under a year ago (my first t's) and they were looking exactly like yours. In the year they have molted 5 times, and now look something like this:
