What seems like forever ago I sold my MM B hamorii (it was a smithi back then). I don't even recall how long its been, but he got a sac and since that male had sentimental value I just had to get some of those slings! He gave me a great deal and I now have 15 of the tiniest slings I've seen in my life. They are about 1/4". Wish me luck keeping them alive!

Make sure you keep the substrate moist when they are that small. Tiny slings dry out fast. I hope you have good luck raising them.

Here are my tiniest slings right after their 1st molt in my care. (about the size of a rice grain with tiny legs) :D

Right back at ya then!

The male was given to me by my wife's family member to get me back into the hobby despite my wife's lack of enthusiasm for it. Furthermore the gifter was not familiar with tarantulas in general and it took some explaining on how MMs die so I sold him. All the better that I have a few offspring.

What kind of substrate do you have them on?
Home Depot topsoil. Same stuff all my Ts have.

I moistened a corner of each cup. Perhaps I'll add a bit more. What is that you are using for a water dish?

I'm using Tattoo Ink Caps I got on Amazon. That's a 2oz deli cup so they are pretty small but work great for tiny sling swimming pools.

I love tiny T babies! My smallest slings were Euathlus sp. "red". You'd be surprised how tough they are, even despite how small they are! I'm sure you'll have no trouble keeping them alive. Don't beat yourself up if you do have a loss, not every spiderling makes it to adulthood. Do your best, that's all you can do.

I have such a soft spot for slings. I'd habe tons if I could!

My tiniest babies are a pumpkin patch and a C elegans. Both are the size of rice grains. I have them in 2 Oz deli cups and I actually couldn't find the elegans the other day. It had covered itself in dirt.
