I got two (Tyansu and Fortuna) of them free from a pet store that didn’t know how to keep them (these two was the only one still alive). I bought Kleopatra from a guy in Denmark and got Powerpuff , Rosa and another one that died in the mail for free (from the same person)...

If you have at least 20 animals it's maybe a little weird that everyone have names ;)

Thank goodness I have a digi, it would probably cost me so much money. I know I will just have to play around with my camera a while. I now know to put it on macro mode. Yeah I am lazy, Im a loaf what do you expect? :) :) But a book is not a bad idea.
Thanks for the advice, you're golden

I'm using FinePix S7000. I don’t think you have to buy a book, just go out there and take some photos!

Some tips:
1. Get a camera with macro-function often marked with a flower or a flower with a magnifier.
2. Try to get the motive in the middle of the picture.
3. Don't use the zoom, go closer.
4. Don't use the blitz if you can use another type of light.

Good luck!

They are Tegenaria domestica slings ;)

I had loads of them for a while ago.

A picture of their mother:

By the way: I prefer the Brachypelma tarantulas. But I like G. rosea to it's just that I have got them different places. I have actually just paid for one of them (Kleopatra) ;)

Also, when your taking your pic, press the button down half way and let the camera focus before pressing the rest of the way. If you get close and just press it all the way, it's more likely to be out of focus and blurry.

Cute pictures!!! And there is nothing at all strange about naming all of your spiders. I have 22 and each one has a name and is referred to by their name. All of my animals are my children, and are treated as such. There is nothing wrong in caring for your animals and treating them well.
