Iv never seen this before, but my tarantulas abdomen is completely smooth and hairless, like part of his exo-skeleton came off. I’m wondering if this is common before shedding or if it looks like it could be something more serious! He seems to be eating and drinking fine and he’s still pretty active. It’s been like this for a couple weeks now with no change. Please help! 8E67136D-B025-4C9F-942A-C88CCFB9303C.jpeg 4A12F832-69A8-4DFB-B5DC-2CD38A329842.jpeg 8E67136D-B025-4C9F-942A-C88CCFB9303C.jpeg

First of all, it's his abdomen that is bald, not his thorax. ;) And there's no exoskeleton around the abdomen, he just kicked himself bare.

He is a mature male, so he won't moult again and will be this way until the end. But there's absolutely nothing to worry about. He is completely fine, especially if he still eats.
Just make sure he always has his water dish full.
