I fed my Avicularia avicularia tarantula a cricket today, noticed this liquid white trail on the wall of my T's jar. Looked like dried milk drops. I was curious where it came from but didn't want to disturb her while she was eating just to clean it so I decided to wait...

Anyway I was singing a song by Korn when out of the corner of my eye I saw my tarantula crawl out of her hiding place. She came as close to me as her container allowed, turned around slowly, raised her butt in my direction and squirted white poo on the sides of the container!

Now I have two white poo trails on the side of the container....she doesn't like my singing. {D

I know it's a defensive action. Something like that ever happen to any of you? :)

What?? They don't like Korn? Uh oh. I've been known to sing also. Eek. ;)

So far, I've only had a B. vagans and an A. gigas (millipede) void themselves actually ON me. I thought it was totally cute. My BF was in the room when the vagans did it and said something like, "That means she likes you!" (as he was getting up to grab some paper towels). Great. So if I get shot in the eye with poo one day, then the specimen just LOVES me??

That's a very cute story, Vicky. :)

<EDIT> I've been playing music on my PC for a good half-hour now. My PC is in the kitchen/dining area, and my T-room is my bedroom (the wall that the Ts are housed against backs against the same wall that my PC and speakers back up to....hope that makes sense). I just walked into my bedroom to find my H. lividum (who doesn't ever burrow anyway) hanging from the screen lid!! That's not normal for her... Wonder if she hates the music.

EVERY single time I hold my G. Auerostriata, he poops on me. It's cold but I'm not grossed out, I just say "Bad spider!" lol
