I really have no idea. Neither one has ever been sexed and I'm not sure how to do it.

First one is a corn snake, second one is a black king snake I THINK. We caught it trying to get in with our baby chicks last summer  .

I'm not sure if the second one is a Black Kingsnake, but I could be mistaken. None the less, great specimens!

Beautiful snakes! I would say that the second is very probably a black kingsnake. Actually, the species is better known as the common kingsnake. It has a number of subspecies, this being one of them. They occur throughout most of the United States. They might eat your small chicks, as well as other snakes, lizards, mice, etc.

Bad picture to identify from, but I'm going to have to agree with this. An Eastern Black Kingsnake. (If you really are from Kentucky, that is l0l)

Yep, I really am from Kentucky. :D
I'll try to snap a better picture. I just didn't want to disturb the snake in its hide.

I love the first snake. I actually acquired one of those when I was in HS. I was working at a landscape supply company and one came in on a pallet of hardwood mulch. I was the only one willing to catch it and care for it. That little guy had tons of attitude.
