My poor P. cancerides got stuck in her molt.

So I let her be, the noticed no movement. I contacted a friend here on the boards who gave me some advice. Unfortunately she had 2 back legs stuck, so I had to get her out. I finally did, but it looked like clear liquid came out of her epigastric furrow, and the legs that were stuck look limp. She is over 10 years old, she was alive this morning but still concerned. Time will tell. She was my 1st tarantula.

Wow, over 10 years old! Fingers crossed that she just needs to rest a bit after that workout.

Yeah...it got me thinking this may be her last rodeo if she pulls through. I doubt she’ll survive the next one.

Man that’s a beautiful T you got there, all you can do is just wait it out at this point but hopefully all goes well.

Thank you. I just don’t want her to die under these particular circumstances. We want our Ts to live a good life, and die gracefully. Sometimes that doesn’t happen unfortunately.

Iv had a T molt and twist its own leg off and seeing that happen was garbage :/ hope everything goes well for the old timer next time round.
