Hello,
I'm brand new to spiders, and it's a bit of a saga how I ended up raising one, but I now have a mama nursery web spider and a slew of hatchlings. A few questions:

1. Will mama spider live much longer?

2. What do I feed the hatchlings?

3. Any special terrarium requirements? I have a glass terrarium with a mess of sticks, a small jar of water with a lil plant in it, and a small dish of water for drinking.

4. Any problem raising several babies in the same terrarium? I'm gonna release the rest soon.

Thanks everyone!!

They look like they're ready to be released, since they've hatched from the sac themselves they will be ready to take down prey items, I can't see any problem releasing them. Hope this helps....

mconnachan: Thanks! I'm debating where to release them. My big secret is that I'm a recovering arachnophobe, so I'm thinking maybe not my own yard...

Smokehound: I'll stop by a pet store today! Thanks! Do you know how long I should keep mom and babies together? I plan to release most of the babies soon.
