Congrats on your new addition. I love Phoneutrias, my favorite true spiders. P. nigriventer is native to my region. Now that the weather is warming up they'll start to be more active again, I'll try to catch me a female, the last one I had died because of some sort of parasite.

Just watch out your fingers, they're really fast!!!

This one is definetly NOT a Phoneutria species, sorry...

i would not complain with a cupiennus,i have a salei,and it definitely isnt the same so would be a great addition either way..
i will get better photos for id purposes

I think, it is still a "fresh" Cupiennius salei female, who is not influenced through 100+ ongoing generation-to-generation breeding in regular hobby.

Cupiennius for sure, even not C. salei (the only thing I riddle is the reddish chelizeratha looking, but the "tiger stripes" on the femur and the signs at the opisthosoma belongs normally to a classic Cupiennius salei..)

is this a salei?doesnt look the same as my other salei at all.
it is a gorgeous spider ,eating well and doing great.so no complaints about the mislabel at all.

I have thought of this popular google picture too, but it shows not all (but enough - the characteristic reddish fangs!) - thx, delherbe!

For sure it is a Cupiennius species I can remember, but which I have forgotten...

keep her right and do your best to get breedings of her - for the whole hobby! :)
