That is a big butt. What is the approximate leg-span on that T?

You really do like Tarantulas with big butts don't you? Perhaps Sir Mixalot's tribute to his fondness for big posterior ends should be your theme song rapunzel.

The cricket is white, only because it just got done molting. It will darken up.

that cricket was actually molting as I took the picture, then it became lunch for the T. Using the cricket as a comparison for size..I would say the legspan is about two and a half inches.

a. genics are my favorite--but mine died about a month ago during his ultimate moult. here he is in much happier times, ready to pounce on a pinky (bela would eat two of 'em at a time when he grew a little bigger)

Oh, come on in.............TO MY MOUTH!!!

Anyway, I am definitely getting one of these soon, if there's nothing good at the upcoming reptile expo and if I come back empty handed from Austin then I'll just have to go online shopping.

I have got my little A. geniculata since last Friday... And I can see that all of the time she is digging in the ground :D It's amazing... She/he is now about 0,5" and continually carries some ground from one corner to another in this little box I keep her/him... :D
Really interesting... I can't get enough of watching it... :D
