I'm rehousing my C. elegans today, and just kind of wondering, for those who've kept them- do you just keep on misting a bit of the web for it? I can't help but feel that a water dish for something this size is a bit of overkill.
A water dish will never be necessary for this species. Regular misting to provide water droplets on the sides of the vial/enclosure will suffice and make sure that the substrate is always slightly damp (it makes building tunnels easier too).
