either a huntsman or wolf, not too keen on these not good looking enough :rolleyes: hehe other people love em though they should know

Looks wolf-spider-like to me. As I was told, you might check the eye configuration. Wolf spiders have a very specific arrangement. :)

(They also eat well -- very agressive towards food -- and are kind of interesting)

Fishing spider, Dolomedes sp. would be my guess. Wolf spiders, especially large ones, are not good climbers and would have a difficult time climbing up a wall like that.

I would second that opinion. Dolomedes tenebrosus most likely.
