My first T, 16-month-old 3" F Brachypelma smithi, "Shelob":

Also, a quick question, is this the famous T defensive pose, or is she just leaning against the side of the tank?:

I had just taken out a jar from the inside of the tank. Before I did that, she was just sitting on the substrate in a normal pose. Just wondering if I had frightened her. Hope I didn't.

Thanks. I bought her so that I could get over my arachnophobia, and it's finally going away. ^^ She's a very interesting animal, but it really hurts my feelings when family, friends, and teachers freak out when I mention her; they express their desire to want to throw books at her and stomp on her. It makes me want to cry, people can be so ignorant...
