my first acrylic cage

^O^ ayeaaaaa is finally done..

took me..3 hour of hard work but is finally done




i really got to get some machine tool ..instead of using the scorching knife...
Pain in the butt:p

the dimension are 10*20*30cm

there are some crack on the back, where i drilled vent holes ...but is ok

wonder if this is ok for my 3 inch a seemanii
is got more Digging space than then current one gallon tank for sure

That's a little tall for a ground loving T. The only adult I ever had of this species never burrowed but did use her hide. It seems like your new tank would be best for an arboreal T IMO.
That's a nice setup though!

Oh your avic will love that setup! Make sure you take more pictures after you have her setup!

one of my cage has change shape so much ..:p
i guess acrylic sheet will react to strees and humidity ..

the sheet of the clapped cage are no longer straight@@

all the piece are bending inward including the base.

:wall: :wall: guess is back to the drawing board for me ...
my other 2 cage seem to be doing ok for now...

hope their shape dont change too

does anyone here konw the properity of acrylic ?
how they epxand and contract..?

Intsted of using silicone try the solvent. Also the cheaper acrylic is generally very thin and bends easy, utting alot of stress on the edges where it is siliconed. I use 1/4" for most stuff. If you know of a local aquarium manufacture they generally will sell scrap pieces for way less than any store, even wholesale and they use very thick acylic.

i use acrylic glue to glue them..
but ya i really have no idea about quality of the acrylic sheet igot...

i took them from school, they were 2nd hand and were about to be thrown away..

they are a bit on the thin side
im just glad it didnt clap on me when all the substrate were in it.
