My C. fasciatum molted. Yesss!

My little C. fasciatum molted! Unfortunately I missed it, but maybe that is for the better. I probably would have been a nervous wreck. I have yet to see a tarantula in the act of molting. That can only mean I need more tarantulas!

It must have been the day for C. fasciatum molts! My little guy finally molted today too just when I thought I was losing him to lack of food and his very lethargic energy. Hopefully he'll be munching back crickets soon to gain some strength he has never seemed to have. This is a pre-molt picture taken 2 days ago!

I'm placing mine in a new setup this weekend. I'm putting together more of a display type of aquarium for it. It is fast becoming my favorite tarantula. I'll try to have some pictures posted by Sunday or Monday.

When they abdomen is that big I wouldnt worry about starvation. He could live quite a while off that reserve.
