My B.Vagans female.

B.Boehmei (think its a male).

B. Auratum dont know of its male/female yet.

Hey nice pics. I have a few boehmei slings myself and I cant wait for that color to come out!

Oh hey just a suggestion..... but your B. Auratum tank looks really wet..... they love it dry.... dry and a water dish.

Your absolutly right, that pic is 2 weeks old the auratum has a dry tank now.

In that last pic of the B. Auratum it looks like she was making a molt mat.... up coming molt?

Nick I think you were right, you can leave your B. autatum were she was.

B. auratum live in wet and humids areas. Were they live there is a dry seasson during december, january and february, the rest of the year its pretty rainy. The same happens with the B. baumgarteni, B. boehmei, B. smithi and A. bicoloratum.

I do not saying they can not live on dry substrate but on its real environment they live in humid and wet places.

Well, anyone is free to leave his tarantulas the way they want.

The auratum has an enclosure with a good humidity around 70/80 the soil is not to dry and not to wet.

@talkenlate04 your are absoluty right it is a molting mat the auratum molted two days before i took that pic.:clap:

Yikes!! Really? I have my B. smithi, B. auratum, and B. boehmei on bone dry substrate with a water dish. I will look into it more. Thanks so much for posting that!
