I've had my first T now for 12 days now and he has been refusing food. I tried mealworms, crickets, and supers but refused all of it. Im concerned because hes still a small sling and his abdomen is kinda small 20231019_111358.jpg

The abdomen's not small. It's probably in premolt. Keep moisture available and it should be ok.

Only having it for 12 days and it not eating alone, and also with a fairly plump abdomen, is absoultely nothing to stress over. It sounds like you are trying to feed constantly. I suggest you refrain from trying to feed again for at least another week or two. It still may not eat and if thats the case thats not a problem dont stress about it. It will eat when its ready to, likely not before that. Until then, wait!! Just make sure it has water and carry on!

I'd like to add that @kingshockey's comment " keep an eye on its butt blacker it gets closer it is t a molt. " is only relevant if your T has a bald spot on its abdomen, which I don't see on your T. If your T has an abdomen covered in setae you will not know when it is getting very close to a molt.

Agree w/ @Smotzer though, your T is fine. It can take some spiders weeks to get used to a new environment and they'll likely refuse food until they're properly settled.

Looks fine it’s not skinny. I would try in a few weeks and if it refuses then it might be in premolt.
Welcome to ab! :D

LoL, got Grandma vibes off this one, slappin' seconds of whatever on my plate to my mom's chagrin "HE'S A GROWING BOY!" she'd say, "LOOK at him..." nevermind the gym teacher already had plans for me on the football team in three years when I'd get to middle school...LoL

That little sling is a pork chop, friend... ain't nothing "small" about THAT abdomen LoL. If he didn't decide to eat until Christmas dinner, he'd be just fine...
