I got home from work today and my daughter was busy painting with her water colors. She called over to me and said, "Look Daddy, I painted a Brachypelma smithi!" (Yes, she knows the Latin name). She freehanded it without a picture for reference. I am proud a proud father to say the least. On the other hand, my wife, who is arachnophobic, is feeling outnumbered. 20160801_222002.jpg

So cool! I love it :) I don't have any children, it must feel amazing when they do something like this at such a young age, very precious :)

Also very cool that she knows the Latin name, keep teaching her, some day we will outnumber the arachnophobes!

You must be very proud :)

It's B. smithi, not B. Smithi -.-

Just kidding, that is too adorable. My kid doesn't want to do anything with my Ts, he actually likes the dubias more. Heh. You're lucky!

I'm getting childhood flashbacks in here

Feed the thirst for knowledge and surround her with good things, and of course she'll shine! I'm loving the picture she drew; please let her know that it's awesome!! I'll share a few icons of my own T's below back to her
