isnt it when a scorpion has a larger brood, that usualy the offspring mature at smaller sizes where a small brood yields larger scorpions?
I've noticed this with certain species mainly from Hottentotta and Centruroides. I've seen two different strategies, many smaller babies or fewer larger babies. I don't think the starting size of the babies has as much effect on the overall grown up size as food abundance, temps and other factors. All things being equal it would be interesting to see what would happen if the two sizes were raise under identical settings.isnt it when a scorpion has a larger brood, that usualy the offspring mature at smaller sizes where a small brood yields larger scorpions?
does the winner recieve all of the babies?? lol. j/k
