Okay, so I am having issues figuring out if I just have two h*rny males or a male and a female. They have been romping around the cage all day but they look similar. I tried uploading a video here and got and "oops" message.

Are you attempting to pair them? If you are and you can't tell with absolute certainty that at least one is a male, you might want to hold off on breeding until you learn how to identify a mature male - it's pretty much unmistakable regardless of species...

You can post pics in the correct forum for help sexing your T's. See this thread for tips:

Update on my endeavors. It dawned on me to check my past videos collected when the first male matured and started courting what I thought was a mature female. We had one subadult that was in the colony at the time. The male tried to mate with the younger T too but the young Balfouri seemed too close to molting to really be suitable as a mate. It is quite possible that the second male is the adult form of the subadult and the T that has yet to come out lately is the female... or I just have 3 males... I will keep you posted. PS, what fb group would you use to share videos for second opinions. This site won't let me.

So several months back, our first male matured. It looked as though we had a mature female he paired with. There was also a subadult a molt away from maturing too. Fast forward to this last week. We catch 2 of the balfouri mating. Both are male. Both are Uber confused as to what is happening. The third tarantula hasn't made an appearance recently.

Side note. What fb group do yall use? I can't post videos to show you what I'm referring to here.

None. And if you can't post a pic you need to find another hobby. Not asking for a video. Just a simple picture. All that other jibbering I don't care about.
Do you want to know if your spider is a male or not?
Post in the appropriate area.

Dis..knot.rhat hard.

Dude, with an attitude like that, I'd be shocked if you had friends. Maybe don't be completely rude. May you have the day you deserve.

Do you want to be friends or do you want to know if your spider is a male or not because you clearly from every single post you have made have no clue at all.
Its not hard at all to post a picture on here if you think I am being rude then I apologize for my being point blank and obvious about what you need to do to achieve the results you require.

I have videos of their previous interactions that can help with this discussion but I cannot upload them here. I did not, 4 months ago, plan on having to have this exact discussion with someone who's first reaction to this interaction would be to act condescending. You are not helpful to anyone when you approach in a manner so abrasive. That is how you present yourself. You want to be taken as professional, act like it. Otherwise I, and those like me, will treat you like a troll account.

I'm definitely not trolling.
Besides all this video. Let's first get past what you have hmm?
Post a picture bro of your spiders I can help dude I started with this very spider...... Tons of others can chime in as well.
m.balfori was my start. I've seen communal enclosures with males to young to breed and would trouble the daylight out of females and eventually get popped.

Now my friend do you want you have a serious chat about these or take my advice as condescending is up to you.

I posted these elsewhere on the arachnoboard as well. 2 confirmed males. There is a 3rd tarantulas that hasn't been out since the first round of mating occured 4 months ago

All that blue says to me male.
Male's do not hook out but they especially at that size have massive boxing gloves. Pictures of the pedipalps will tell us all what you need to know .
Like I said I started out with these very spiders I've kept them every way possible and seen some crazy interactions.

Because I already know the wave of peeps and my comment. That's so not a way to go I know Jesus I've had lots of them.
At that size the features of a male spider should %100 be visible. M.balfori are not a spider that's hard to nail down.
I had to edit my post. For whatever reason my phone and spelling sucks.

Adult female. I've bred her twice. That booty is because she ate two way before they matured males and was trying to still breed her . Hence why I don't suggest keeping these communal unless you can keep a righteous eye on them. Lots of people will throw out their success. I feel like if I don't throw out my complete failures then what is the point of me running my mouth.
For the love of God spell check or wth ever work.

You can't post videos to AB directly, but if you upload the video to YouTube (or another video site), you can post the link to the video here.

You see, that's what the female looked like when our first male hooked out and started mating...

I totally understand. I think the deeper you dig on this forum the happier you'll be.

Sorry, matured. I raise a lot of new world species. The term is burned into my brain
And I've just got to say. Like I said this spider is exactly why I even got into this. Those blue's oh yeah you have some beautiful spiders.
