okay, i just got the little guy into a new home. i know its not exactly the typical pokie container, but it works for my small arboreal slings till they can get enough size to upgrade to a larger container. do you think this enclosure is okay, or is he going to be just plain miserable in it? right now doesnt seem too interested in climbing, just likes exploring around on the ground.

Congrats. That's an awesome deal. I wish I could have found a deal like that.

I think she will do just fine in that enclosure btw.

The spider will do fine in there. It has the option to burrow some or web around the wood. I am not disagreeing or anything, but I was just curious what "strongly suggested to be female" means? In other words, how did whoever come to that conclusion?

Congrats on your spider...I love mine.. even after it went on the run for 40 or so days... :)

At 1.75" some pokie's are easy to sex ventrally. I'm not sure if miranda is one of them because my miranda are only like 3/4" still :p I have had success sexing formosa, ornata, rufilata, and regalis all ventrally. The one's that I have that are pretty hard to sex ventrally are my tigris, metallica and subfusca (but I just think it's due to lack of practice, these sling's cost $$). I think it get's alot easier with repetition. Eventually you will be able to spot them at the 1.5" mark, or at least point out the for sure males. I usually wait a little while longer before I give the definite "yes that's a female" label.

i'm not sure what is meant by suggested female, and to be honest i'm not really putting much faith in a sexing at this size on any spider, but im hoping it will be female, as all of my sexable T's right now are male :( i'm just happy to have gotten her at such a steal. could have gotten her or a tigrinawessli for the same deal, and i am very pleased with my choice.

Sounds like the perfect Pokie! Fashion AND attitude! IMO, P miranda is the most stunning of the Pokies, especially adult females.

Although I like your choice, I think I am going to have to disagree and say that subfusca is the most stunning of the pokies. I would probably say metallica is next then followed by miranda :p

Uh oh. It looks like she's holding her left L4 kind of crooked. Could be a sign of some underlying issue.

I highly suggest you pack her up and send her to me as soon as possible. ;)

Very pretty girl. :)

I agree cody, I think formosa is in my top 3 favorite pokies. It usually alternates between the subfusca, metallica and formosa.
