I have had a hawaiian variety (not sure of the correct
name) for about 4 months now and it has not molted
yet. It gets lots of food (mostly geckos) and water. shud
I be concerned?

Nope. If it's a sub adult, or adult, it can take quite a while between molts. Sometimes they're pretty secretive about molting too. You may never even know it happened sometimes since they usually consume the exuvia. Does your Hawaiian 'pede look like this one?

yeah, looks about the same color and thickness. Im not
sure if its an adult or sub-adult. Its a little over 6 inches
and when it eats, it really scarfs down the geckos. It
was caught at a friends house in town so again, I dont
know how old it is. thanks for any info you or anyone
else can pass my way.

It is most likely a Scolopendra subspinipes. ssp.. At 6" it is probably full grown or close to it. Which means that the molts will be pretty infrequent. The first sign of an impending molt would be fasting.

Anytime. :)

I'd love to see a picture of your 'pede if you can get one. By the way, I'm envious. I wish I could just catch such an awesome bug in town. Lucky, lucky! ;)

See ya.

i can get a pic of "mr. pinchy". There are
lots of 'pedes around here, much to the dismay of
the local gentry, but great for collectors.

How often do you see pedes outsite or running around your area
