I believe my G. rosea is stuck in molt. She has been on her back for almost 16 hours now. Her legs twitch every so often. I don't see any signs of her breaking through. I'm a noob so I'm not sure if I'm just being over protective or not. Please help

I should also add that I've been misting her container every few hours very lightly.

That doesn't look like molting to me. Can you post some pictures of the enclosure?

Don't mist anymore. Rosies do not like any added moisture besides a simple water bowl.

The enclosure looks fine for the most part, sub looks a little moist towards the bottom. But that shouldn't really matter too much.

Have you recently sprayed any chemicals or anything of that sort? Can you tell if the T has popped it's carapace or something? It looks to me like it's in a death curl. There's no molting mat, the posture is wrong, and the time is long for a T of that size. DO NOT mess with it though. There's really nothing you can do besides wait it out.

What size is it anyways? Looks to be a sling or juvie from the pictures, but that's just a guess.

I've got to go, but there's really nothing that can be done. You just have to wait it out. DO NOT put it in an ICU if you happen to read about those. They will just kill a T.

I'll tag some people that may be able to help. @cold blood @viper69 @miss moxie @KezyGLA

Is it pulling its legs up to its mouthparts? Does it seem slightly discoordinated?

It could be moulting but there is a chance it could be something wrong.

16 hrs on its back is a long time for a young T to be moulting. To be honest if it is moulting then I would say its stuck and there really isnt much you can do.

Could you take photos with flash and close up??

I recently found 3 spiders like this and it wasnt a happy ending :(

It actually looks like it might have fallen onto its back...examine it to make sure its not ruptured anywhere.

Definitely doesn't look like it was molting.

And another one
Looks like a death curl, only it's upside down.

There's not much height in the enclosure, but I guess a fall could still be responsible.

But yeah definitely not molting, legs are curling inwards, they would not be in that position if she was trying to molt.

Kezy had three like that as he said and I had one and now here's another one just within a few weeks. I had never read of these symptoms:

- spider on it's back, legs curled up, slightly twitching, uncoordinated

before.

Where is this coming from now? I don't think it's a fall or poisoning since all the evidence points to something internal. But I really want to know what it is.
@KezyGLA were all your spiders juveniles? All of them looked plump, so were they due for a molt?

All specimens were juveniles, different species. The P. everetti and A. sp. panama were not long after a moult.
