Molt stuck on Sling after Hardening

Hey, everyoney. My b. boehmei sling molted two days ago. She had already 'finished' by the time I spotted that she had molted and it took me until the next day to realize there was a problem. As best I can tell, she has successfully extracted all essential body parts (fangs, lungs, sucking stomach), but the two front legs on the left side are still stuck in the molt. I have tried to gently and carefully tug on the molt, honestly hoping she would drop the two legs at the perceived threat, but no luck. She is reasonably mobile and, I believe, functional. But I don't how this is going to effect her next molt or what's going to happen to the trapped legs long-term, but I also don't particularly want to risk harming her by forcing the issue. So, I am looking for advice from those with some experience with anything like this. Leave her alone or try to excise the molt?

Disclaimers: Picture is attached, I don't generally handle my spiders this was the best way to get a clear(ish) photo, I have searched the forums for information but the threads on this subject I found are how to help mid-molt, not post.

Wait for x time and see if it gets it off on its own? Or wait indefinitely until it's next molt?

Hi there,

If we are honest , the tarantula is way to small to do anything to help her out and she can do what is best for her on her own. She will either get out the legs from the molt. Or she will drop the legs / lose them while trying and go on with her life.

Anything that you would try is totally unnecesary.

Best regards,

Don

I agree with the others. What little is left on her legs isn't going to cause any issues. If she's bothered by it, she'll drop the legs by her own accord. Just treat her like you would any other sling and it will more than likely sort itself out.

It will take care of itself at this point, I also highly suggest you stop handling a freshly molted tarantula.
