Molt...Help?

Sooo, my H lividum just molted (yay!) and I was wondering what the best way to preserve a molt is, cause I wanna pose it and keep it.

Also, inside their abdomen, if they have that little flap it means their a girl right? Cause I think she's a laady.

Yes that flap means girly girl.

I preserve my molts by spreading them out and then you can pin them to something. If you find the molt and its already hard you can soften it up with rubbing alcohol, Kinda like this,

So just rub a bit of rubbing alcohol on it and pin it to something?

If you get the molt when it's still soft then just lay it out how you want it. But if its brittle when you pull it out then lay it on a table or something and drip some rubbing alcohol on the molt, give it a few minutes to work itself in and then you can pose it how you want and let it dry, then pin it to something.
