Moist substrat for slings or not.

Hello

I need some advice:

I got some slings from a friend who couldn't take care of them anymore.

Nevertheless I read things and the opposite concerning the fact of wetting the substrate.

Do I absolutely have to wet the substrate or can I leave it without water and dry, counting only on the prey they eat?

Thank you.

I search on all the sites that I find, overall I selected Mike T, Tarantula collective & Dark Den.

I was thinking that some species like Harpactira pulchripes "do not need water" even as slings, so is putting it in counterproductive or would it provide emergency life support?

Thanks again

some species need less water than others and should be kept dryer.
They all should get a water dish.

Yes especially as small slings you don't want the substrate to completely dry out or you might find your sling dried up too. I mist their whole enclosure but keeping half misted half dry is preferred.

Be very careful because what "MOIST" means to people varies in some degree. It doesn't take much water to create a stuffy toxic environment and your sling is dead within a week. Best thing you can do is post pics of what you are keeping them in and everyone can give you advice on what to do.
