look high or in any dark warmer place... id put on some heavier duty garden gloves so ya dont have any accidents. good luck and keep us posted

and if and when ya do find it, id spend some time overlooking the enclosure BEFORE rehousing it... your set up OBVIOUSLY is flawed

How did it possibly get out in the first place!!??!! Did someone (that means you) forget to lock the enclosure securely?

The lid locks in the middle and if the tarantula pushed hard enough it could squeeze out the side of the lid. Im going to fix that. I had to leave town for a couple days

a general rule of thumb is if it can get its carapiece (head) out the body will follow. what size is the regalis of discussion? id lock myself in the room, towel under the door and check vents/heater. you dont want a pokie of any type gaining free roam around the house due to a various amount of possibilities:embarrassed:

good luck P.regalis is a beautiful t, you dont wanna take that kind of loss

not trying to criticize or hate rob... but how can we possibly know how to find it in a room nobodys EVER seen. we know Pokies ar arboreal so it may be up high, if its a baby it will prob be low and dark. like i said , look for warm, secluded/ tight spaces... wait for it to be dark and quiet for a while and BAM hit the lights...? theyre active most at nite... alot like roaches. i also have heard and agree that spiders dont roam much. they will usually be found remotely close to the enclosure in the warmest darkest spot.

Also (as asked before) it would help if you told us what size Pokie we're talking about here.

Shes 5 1/2 inches
The room is pretty large at least 20 x 15 feet give or take a couple feet
and theres really only one high place in the room and I thoroughly searched it
Im sorry if I'm over reacting I"m just desperate to find her

I personally wouldn't sleep in that room either.

Go in there periodically at night with a flashlight, you may get lucky and find her on a wall or on the ceiling.

I'm sorry to laugh at all this, but reading what others have posted & then to read the stress coming from your posts cracks me up. Not that it's funny, but you just have to laugh. (Not that it should be taken lightly though). I've seen another post where this happened to someone and someone responded that if you leave their water bowl out in the middle of the floor and turn the lights out and periodically check that room (or maybe the whole house?) your T might just be sitting there by the water, waiting for you to put it back in it's home.

If it's a bedroom that it escaped in, I'd check in and under your bed, pillows, shoes, coat pockets, etc.

Hope this helps and I hope you find it soon. (in a safe way for both you & it) (;

I put a heating pad on the floor and near her enclosure, do any of you think that will help coax her out of hiding?

I would look on the ceiling or higher wall.
I have seen a few threads on here where they find them where the ceiling and the wall meet.
