Weather today didn't help much and only brought my fix focal length lens so some of the shots were either too close to maneuver around or too far. Next time definitely bringing a zoom lens and tripod.

I'll start out with the carnivores.

Fishing cat (dark room, nocturnal animal display)

Lynx

Leopard not sure what the reflections are in these pix :(

Cougar

Best I could do of tiger

Wolf (forgot if what subspecies)

Mexican wolves

Komodo dragon

Komodo dragon skull

Random animals

camel

Moose

Takin

Red Panda

Monkey forgot what kind

Forgot this pic. This eagle is actually very clean, the black/dark colors around the head and tail area is actually the screen/fence between us.

Flamingo

Mallards

Some kind of pigeon. Too bad didn't get it's whole feet.

some kind of turtle

Toad native to Minnesota

Some flowers  :embarrassed:

And lastly only fish pic I took

Those are some really amazing shots. I'm very impressed with your framing ability considering the fact that you were using a prime lens. What camera and lens were you using?

And way to bokeh the fence between you almost out of existence in the bald eagle shot!

Thanks for the kind words.

hehe they are super cute.

Too bad I had to shoot 3/4 the pix at ISO 1600 cause most of the displays were so dark.

Amazing shots!

*sigh* I can't wait to get a DSLR. Some day.. hopefully someday soon!

I especially love the cats and the Red Panda. The Moose is pretty cool too! Darn, I can't choose a favorite.

BTW, the monkey is a Golden Lion Tamarin, a New World Monkey. They're more monogomos than humans, choosing one mate and sticking with them their entire lives. They are famous for usually birthing twins. Tamarin twins.

Thanks for sharing!

Nice shots in here. I was a little shocked that you did so well with a 150mm on those cats. They must have been fairly close to you. I like to take my 70-300mm to the zoo usually. It has a good bokeh, and versatile reach.

Justin

When I was there the cats were still hanging out close to the glass areas.

Yep I'm trying to save up for a lens with more versatile reach/zoom and wide angle lens.
