Hm, i'm new to those and i've been looking up on google to see if i could find a pic of them... Couldnt... Does anyone have a full body shot?!?! Also, what kind of organism are those, amblypygids?!?! They seem pretty neat and have a nice threat pose !!!!
I kept a pair together for 4 days but while I was watching no mating took place, perhaps they are shy and did it when I stoped watching.
I've also moved the male in all female enclosures for a day or two.
I'm keeping a very fat female in a tall plastic box with lots of peat for her to make a chamber and see how it goes, if she makes a birth chamber I'll move the rest females in similar enclosures as well.
I'm keeping a small group (3) together in a 60*50*40 container
for almost 4 months now,... no probs so far.
i find them laying on top of eachother in the entrance towards their underground hidingplace (chamber) the entrance is a kind of "tunnel" towards the chamber.,... will try to shoot pictures,.. that would make it more clear
I'll be interested to see the whole enclosure since your enclosures are always nice
Oh forgot to mention that I keep another female in a big tank with a.gigas millipedes! so far so good. The vinegaroon has made a burrow and stoped showing up in the surface....I guess that's a good sign
btw the males are kept in braplast plastic boxes (you know the ones that ter.nl is selling the medium ones)
ive seen one like that, when i was hunting for i.maculatus ive seen that in a vermiculated wood, it was hiding there when my flashlight shined it, it moved thats why i found it.
but the size was about 1 1/2 mm very small or probobly a young one???
i got the wood where it was hiding and placed in a cup, i went to scholl in the afternoon and when i returned about 7pm i found out that it was dead.
i also placed some small critx probobly a wood louse...
it grabs em but the wood louse was able to go free...
it got too a tail and the 2nd leg was long and used as feeler.
