I recently purchased two adult male A.gigas to live with my other two females. They seem pretty happy and I was pleased that they were mating...will hopefully have some babies at some point!
what I wasn't expecting was the next day when one of the males started cleaning (?) himself (not directly after mating). I could see all the bits of anatomy that aren't usually visible, he did this for about 5 minutes. I think all those bits are usually tucked away.
Has anyone else experienced this? I do wonder whether he was actually cleaning or just doing it for fun.
