These were found near Cincinnati, OH in a garden. I put them in a cup when I collected them. When I was ready to pour them out, 6 had already coupled! Guess I know there are both male and female! They are just a few inches long and quickly coil when alarmed. Any special care?

I believe they are hot house or green house milipedes , Oxiduc gracilis there allover the place here and as far as I know no special care needed

I second @Jerry, these are probably Oxidus gracilis, a common introduced species that feeds on a variety of decomposing organic matter and does not need rotten wood.

The ones I had for a while love cucumber they would ravenously devours it I didn't have them very long before I re released them but they did well for the time I had them
