So, I found my A. gigas munching on a plastic decorative plant this evening when there was actual food no more than 3" away. :embarrassed:What's the deal? Should I be worried about this causing a problem?

Needless to say I took that particular plant out of the terrarium immediately and set him on the right course...of course then he was done and wandered off to his hiding place without touching the other food.

Anyone else had their millipedes munching on non-living cage decorations?

mine have chewed on the air holes in the lid of their enclosure when they can reach it. its a plastic deli meat box with holes punched in the top. it doesnt seem to bother the health of mine that i can tell.

Know that they will eat anything, including you if they feel they are lacking or you "smell" right.
