Here are a few photos from the Memphis Zoo. It is a great zoo. I wish I had more time to see the rest of it. I spent most of my time at the Herpetarium since my time was limited. Enjoy! :)

Nice pictures!
I was thinking of that idea with a strip of road in the cage for sidewinders before

Nice pics Gil. I see you didn't get a picture of Steve Reichling either. Great guy.

Lelle yeah a stripe would've been sadly fitting for it.

Thanks guys!

Lelle,

I always wanted to do the same thing with a strip of asphalt in a Sistrurus catenatus cage. I was impressed when I saw the big C. adamanteus cage setup. It is almost the same exact way I pictured doing one myself. They also had a couple other cage ideas that I liked. They had a nice cage with a barn type setup and a nice copperhead cage. The barn setup is another cage style that I always wanted to make. I even have a few antique farm implements stored away for such a cage. One of these days...

Pyst,

Thanks again for introducing me to Steve. The herpetarium is fantastic. I do have a couple photos of him including one of him holding a gorgeous Louisiana Pine Snake. I just opted not to post a photo of him without his permission.

The barn setup sounds like a cool idea, maybe I do that with the corn here
Any pix of the copperhead setup?
If you got more setup shots from that zoo I would like to see them!

Lelle,

Here are a couple more not so great photos.

I liked this setup with the flower pots and the fencing.

Im not so fond of the copperhead setup but the barn was cool. Just as I pictured it in my head.

A unusual setup here at Winnipeg zoo :)

They really need a remake there...

No kidding, it looks like : 'And Carlenberg will never forget the afternoon little Elsa went into the shrubbery to scare a few birds into flight..the way her stuffed toy bunny Lily's head gently bounced against the ground as it was dragged along the ground..the afternoon the constrictor got its revenge.'

Nice pictures anyway, though I'm not a grand fan of barn setup. If the snake was really fat it'd have looked like it fled its cage into the barn, ate the horse and fell asleep.
