Mealworm mesh size for beetles

What mesh screen size would be good so that the beetles can't get through but there frass could? And how would one cut through the plastic of plastic drawers?

What mesh screen size would be good so that the beetles can't get through but there frass could? And how would one cut through the plastic of plastic drawers?

Mealworm beetles are large enough that window screen would work, although young larvae would pass through the screen. I use an ordinary drill to ventilate Sterilite containers and similar plastic bins...I have to drill with care to avoid cracking the plastic, but it works.
