One of my un-id'd Ts that I'd tentatively labeled an Aphonopelma sp. molted out today, and as usual, its a mature male. It now is deep blue-black on the first segment of the legs, with the rest being kind of light grey and has a metallic purple carapace. Very pretty, really, too bad its a male. It wouldn't be so bad, except that I have no idea what species it is so there's no chance of breeding. Just for curiosity's sake, anyone know of American Aphonopelma that mature out in those colors? After it has recovered I'll post a pic.
