Friend question.
I see sns. a lamp when raising a mantis. Is this a must?
Is it purpose sterilization or temperature? What kind of lamp do you use? Yes uva? reptile?
Is there a kind that does not require a lamp at all?

Whether you need a lamp or not depends on how warm it is in your room. Most mantids prefer temperatures of 25°C (77°F) or more depending on the species.

Lamps also serve as artificial light sources when there isn't enough daylight. So what kind of lamp you use depends.
If you need to increase the temp use a heat lamp or a halogen, if you only need a light source you can use an LED lamp and save energy cost.

Mantids don't need UV light so you won't need to worry about that.

Alternatively, if there's enough natural light in your room you can also use a heat mat on one side of the tank.

As mentioned above, but if you do use a heat source, you need a thermostat. Otherwise, you can't control how hot the heat source gets, and it could potentially get too hot and kill your mantis.
The thermostat allows you to control the temperature so it doesn't get too hot or too cold.
But that's only if you need to provide additional heat.
A simple light wouldn't require a thermostat.
