For the sex of your avic you'll have to look between the upper booklungs if you see a flap (female) or not (male). From the picture the sex cannot be seen.

its too bad that i can never get my guy/girl to come out of her web retreat to find out jus 2 min ago i took a pic and here it is now he/she when i tried to move the tank to the side so i could get an undershot bolt'd right into the retreat and since the sides are well webb'd no good photo's also hampton i would have but sadly usually with the molts i get thats as intact as they come
