Males scales overlap and have tiny pours females scales do not over lap and have no pours or extreamly faint a lot easier when the bulge appears or not to quote my wife when she saw a male "look at the balls on him" lol

So yeah she was a female, also random update:
she broke her leg, then kept biting at it until the skin came off and then she died
