Male E.campestratus life span ?

Hi.
I got what I was told was a 3 year old 100% female that was sexed under a microscope.
But six days ago it molted and two days after it had
hooks so I knew it wasn't a female but a male.
How long can he live for?.
And yes I was gutted..

you may get a couple of years out of him, give or take.

Thats too bad its a male. Ts that big dont need a microscope to sex them. That should be noted for future purchases. You got about a year give or take. But the great news is you can send him off for a loan to breed or sell him for a good buck to someone who needs a mature male. Good luck
