Hi i have a pair of Dorcus Titanus stag beetles and i would like to breed them, would it be safe to keep the male and female together , then seperate them after.
Questions:
1) how long should i leave them together?
2) how big should the enclosure be to house them together?

Thanks

I would keep together, and make sure that you see them mate. Afterwards I’d aeparate, since I’ve heard countless times of males slicing females in half

After dealing with this species for many years I can say this... separate the male as soon as you witness mating. He WILL kill the female at some point. You can also zip tie the mandibles so he cannot crush her.
