Unofficial named species, officially beautiful species.

It would be cool to name it after Bryant. To some controversial, undeniably one of the most important figures in the history of the hobby.

Anyone hear any updates on the official naming of this beautiful species?

Yes it represents more than a spider to me.

I knew Bryant pretty well, visited his store on a weekly basis and he was always there to help me out. I wouldn't sell it for anything in the world.

Very Very pretty T.

Defiantly an "Eden type." spider. She likes the low slung "tanks."
Faith likes the long sleek "bullets."

Hi Art,
Beautiful specimen. I can only confirm for you it's a Lyrognathus species. Volker has been doing some work on the Asians lately, he may have some info for you. I'd suggest you privately email him?

Yes, Bryant will be sadly missed by all for a long, long time. It would be great to see his name incorporated into the official name for this spider.

Cheers,
Steve

who is bryant, and where did he go?
Bryant was the owner/operator of Arachnocentric, he helped to get the captive breeding of tarantulas going in the US. He was one of the most important people involved in the hobby within the US. Here's his tribute page: http://www.petbugs.com/bryant/

Cheers,
Steve
