Lycosid mating attempt

Well, today I decided to attempt a breeding of some wolf spiders. I began by placing the female and male enclosures next to each other for a few hours, where they could see each other. Then, I set up a larger mating container and here is the results.


First off, the spiders in question.

Well those are some of the better photos. Who knows from here, it was kind of a crap shoot to begin. To be honest, I was not even 100% sure these are the same species. They were captured at the same location, in the same habitat, very near each other where there were many other similiar ones around.

We shall see if the attempt was successful. Maybe Ill get an eggsac out of it...........just what I need at this point, a few more sacs to tend to :D .

careful!! you might get some crazy, giant mutant wolf spider outta that!! they look good;) and she is verrrrry pretty:} hope you get an egg sac!!!
