Oh s/he was wild caught and not taking food very well so I had to release him (I say him but was unsexed). I'm aiming to get a CB baby his size and/or another hot sometime this year hopefully. What happened to him or her?

Gaboons are my dream snake but I don't feel I can safely care for them just yet. I want a lot more experience first. I really want T. wagleri or an eyelash nexthmm... i really want a hot. i mean ive been in the hobby for 12 years now, and was raised in the rainforest, actually if you count my pet snakes i had when i was a kid, you could argue ive got almost 18 years experience...
still though, i would hate to get tagged. i dont know what it is, this is coming from a guy who free handles deadly scorpions. snakes just always seem to be plotting to bite me it seems lol.
having said that, if i was going to keep any hot snake it would be a gaboon viper.
oh wow very nice!I've always liked Gaboon Vipers (Bitis Gabonica) and Eyelash vipers but after seeing this picture of a Gumprechts Green Pitviper http://www.wwf.org.uk/news_feed.cfm?uNewsID=2544.
I actually managed him to take a f/t pinkie once but after that he refused all food live or otherwise. Didn't want him to starve bye bye Lovechild. I'm looking into CB babies only now.i have not had much luck w/ WC copperheads. i just photograph and release
sure they are when you're 95lbs! ;PCopperheads aren't hot!
TBH
Well more like lukewarm...medical treatment has been the cause for all fatalities.Copperheads aren't hot!
TBH
Yeah I'm starting slow so I'm not ready to jump into cobras yet. I've heard many accounts that they are a hard snake to read.well i can ask my buddy for details on when the next clutch is do from his female. and i wasnt meaning a permit for the copperheads just the cobras. he had to get one to keep them around here. last clutch his female had was so awsome looking. i wanted one but couldnt justify getting one due to having a small child in the house.
