That is absolutely horrible... I'm sorry to hear about your loss :( a lot of people have reactions to pesticides; you should have been notified at least 24 hours before they bombed! That's terrible..

Wow I don't know what I would do if I was in that kind of situation. Hopefully the neighbors will feel some sort of shame and could possibly help you get back on your feet by replacing some of the losses in some way. I agree with a lot said above, I'm surprised you did not get warned of the pesticides! Even if I had no Ts in my home, I would be upset coming home to find a fowl stench and no warning! It kind of reminds me of the time the water company that tests our community well system decided to treat the water with chemicals (mostly chloromines). We got a letter in the mail that said they did it a week ago, when a week ago my fathers fish tank was wiped out (30 10-year old Botia macracantha along with others were all killed :() Anyway when it comes to the tarantula hobby we need as many people as possible contributing to maintain and promote it. Therefore, I sure hope that you can, financially and time willing, manage to give this awesome hobby another shot!

I havn't been around the boards in awhile and I currently have no tarantulas. It was last year and my neighbor sold their house. We share a wall. The tenets they were renting the property to were less than hygienic and created a pest infestation. They bug bombed the whole house next door and when I got home from work one day my place had a strong odor of pesticide. Over the following two weeks all my tarantulas died. I had just under 30, at least half of those I rasied from slings up to the 4 to 7 inch range. I'm just glad I didn't jump on the P. metallica band wagon when the speicies first hit or I would have been really pissed. I have no immediate plans to start a new collection but I may visit the forums more often as recently I'm missing my brood.
Do you want a free female P. regalis?

Wow that really blows I feel really bad for you. Are you still there and do you think the pesticides cleared out? I have a surplus of L. parahybana and C. bracycephalis slings i'll send you a couple for free, help you get your collection back on its feet. Theyre about an inch or so.

I can sort of sympathize with you. Years ago I bought a snake for my breeding project for 10k and it eventually died a slow, miserable death from an incurable disease (IBD). It was brought on by a mite infestation and was all I could do to keep it from spreading to the whole collection. Fortunately I succeeded in protecting all my other snakes, but that one looked like a zombie before she died:( . I not only lost the 10k, but thousands in vet bills as well.
So... to quote the great Napoleon Dynamite, "What would you do in a situation like that?!".... Keep going. It's the only thing to do. Just keep going.

Wow! Welcome back... I was wondering where our little dancing pill had gone!! Are you going to start collecting again? I've got several breeding projects going, I'll send you some free babies if I have any viable sacs!! That's a horrible story, and I would let your neighbors know what they did at the very least

I would so cry. I've read quite a few losses on here, and I have becomed so attached to my little babies, I couldn't imagine having them to full grown and they all die!!!
