What is the longest successful breeding loan you have ever experienced? From when you sent the tarantula out, to when you got the spiderlings. And with what species?

I loaned my G. pulchripes to some guy about five months ago... lost his username and e-mail address, and haven't heard from him. Does that count? :wall:{D

I am 100% serious. I even tried to find the guy by posting a thread, I feel like a total moron. Lesson learned the hard way, I guess.

Would you mind PMing me some of the users? That doesn't sound like a good deal if you know they dropped a sac...

I have one on loan that I'm starting to worry if she's planning on molting instead.... :wall: but what could ya do?

My best advice to anyone that has a MM they might want to loan...

1) Find someone who is reputable, or dont do a loan.
2) Buy a female, and breed your male yourself.

I have sent out a couple MMs... One apparently died in transit. I trust the guy... The other, well it died in transit back to me...

So, no babies from either males...

Now, I dont have any breeding projects, dont plan to have any until my female P. rufilata matures... I wont use any male I dont own, nor will I ever send out another male, for a loan.

sure, but always do your homework, check reviews and dont be shy to leave one when things go south, seems many folks just sweep under the rock or what ever that place is...

Gotcha. Yeah, if I ever do a 50/50 with the GBB male (I'm more inclined to sell him unless I change my mind before he matures) I would definately be looking for an experienced, reputable GBB breeder. The females it seems have a reputation for being self-imposed widows.
