So there's so many cool exotic pets to choose from. Frogs, lizards, snakes, scorpions, tarantulas, pedes, fish.... What else do you keep? What else is out there? I've successfully found local breeders of species from every group I've listed here, much to my own surprise in a lot of cases. I'm interested in what else I can find out there now!

Salamanders. Also, there are allot of strange plants out there that are pretty cool. Carnivorous plants, weird cacti, things like that ...I just have a few but I could sure get into that more if I let myself. I have a couple of salamanders, Sirens along with all the other junk. I found them I think around 6 years ago when they were babies. I think they are about 14 to 15 inches long now.

I realized Amblypygids and Vinegarones are something not mentioned in the original list. They're pretty cool. Let's see, ...some people like snails and slugs.

I've owned far too many pets to count, or at least too many to list here, since I'm lazy. My favorite was probably my prairie dog, though. Too bad the transport, sale and release of them has been banned in the US.

lizards,snakes,frogs,inverts,what else?

Dear Driver,

My home exotics include specialty mice and botanical chimeras...many of my (surprising!) plants transformed themselves into two (or THREE!!!)-in-one chimeras when I tried to graft varieties that I had with slivers taken from interesting plants of related, but of considerably more unusual species.

I also keep at least four kinds of invertebrates.

Yours very truly,

Louise E. Rothstein

Dear Driver,

My present exotics include specialty mice, four kinds of invertebrates, and
an interesting selection of botanical chimeras that occurred when the
relatively commonplace plants that I grafted with slivers taken from their unusual relatives commingled their cells into 2(or 3!!!) in one surprises.

Yours very truly,

Don't forget farm animals. I keep exotic pheasants, but my brother and sister have well over 200 chickens, ducks, peacocks, geese, partridges, pigeons, and turkeys.

I am also into bee keeping and have several bee hives.
